Coming from a family including law enforcement, I have always had interest in criminal cases. Unexpectedly, in 2019 I lost a close friend to murder. He was only 18 years old, he never even made it to graduation. Throughout my the grief process, I found myself asking the same question "why?" Why was an innocent life taken over something so meaningless and temporary? It was then that I became encompassed with understanding the psychology behind evil, and although I may never fully understand, I believe these families deserve to know the reason why. That is the driving mission behind this blog, and soon the podcast. If you have any case suggestions, please submit them through the contact form and I will look over them.   SHELBEY THORNBURGH -20 Wednesday, November 4th, 2015 Approx. 9PM  7500 Block Bellaire Boulevard Houston, TX The Conquistador Apartments- Third  Floor (no longer exists) VICTIM OVERVIEW: Shelbey Jean Thornburgh was born on August 18th, 1995 in Decatur, Texas. Shelbey had a rough childhood, growing up in foster care and eventually finding herself in sex work to make a living and save up for an upcoming tummy tuck. According to her sister Krystina, she had told the family she had gotten a high paying job, but not in sex work. At the time of her death, Shelbey was 20 years old living in the 7500 block of Bellaire Boulevard in Houston, Texas. She was working for/dating a pimp named Marcus Dewayne Johnson, AKA Marc Dee, who has been cleared in any involvement in her death. He was also the one to find Shelbey, and call the police.
